The app is developed to enable consumers to compare products based on energy efficiency and monetary cost savings from labeled appliances vs the baseline product. It will help consumers make better informed decisions when shopping for appliances. It will increase use of the India Star Label to guide consumers appliance purchasing decisions. The app will enable consumers to verify the accuracy of the India Star Labels on products in stores. It demonstrates an innovative approach to verifying compliance with labeling requirements. Users can provide feedback on the products as well as on the app.
